Fees
For many types of projects, I offer a flat fee arrangement so that you can know the attorney fees before deciding to start the work. Usually, flat fees are appropriate for work on patent applications and are typically in the range of $3,500 to $5,500 (for provisional stage applications). Flat fee arrangements are also appropriate for most form agreements. In other cases, hourly billing is more appropriate for open-ended work when the amount of time and effort needed to complete the project cannot be easily predicted.
